Bar Porter - Hard Rock Cafe

About the role

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing bar supplies as needed and maintaining a clean, well-organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Sets up bars for operation; cuts fruit; stocks ice; empties garbage.
• Supports bartender needs and maintains the bar stock.
• Reports any maintenance problems to Beverage Manager.
• Works in assigned location and shift according to department needs.
• Maintains par levels and orders bar supplies; delivers orders.
• Sorts bottles and corrugated cardboard for recycling.
• Maintains bar cleanliness in accordance with Health Department standards.
• May work in the capacity of a Bartender as needed by business needs.
• Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.

• Ability to lift 30 to 40 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy.
• May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise and constant exposure to the general public.
