Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for menu items, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and measuring out spices and other ingredients
- Assist with the production of menu items, including following recipes and adhering to food safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes and utensils, sanitizing surfaces, and properly storing food items
- Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines, including properly handling and storing food
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a prep cook or in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Able to multitask and handle a high-volume workload
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards and guidelines
- Basic math skills
