Banquet Server - Part-Time - Maryland

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance and mannerism.
• Aid with table, linen, chair setup for full service of banquet events.
• Provide excellent food and beverage service for banquet events.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Maintain back of the house, front of the house, and side work duties for overall productivity of banquet events.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Ability to use fountain soft drink, tea and coffee machines.
• Ability to read and write basic instructions.
• Knowledge of Alcohol Beverage Control laws, health regulations, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Public relations skills needed.
• Ability to read and follow instructions from Banquet.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• One to three years of experience in casual, buffet, or fine dining restaurant is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position and an Alcohol Beverage Card required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk continually throughout a scheduled shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach while carrying dishes, glasses, and serving tray.
• Ability to push bus cart and carry trash/linen bags, weighing up to 35 lbs.

Working Conditions

• 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees.
• Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
• You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
• May require extended hours and work week from time to time.
