About the Role: As our Banquet Server, you will help create exceptional experiences by delivering outstanding food and beverage service for meetings, conferences, weddings, social events, and special occasions. Working closely with the Banquet team, you will ensure every event is executed flawlessly while providing warm, attentive hospitality that exceeds guest expectations. Your Impact - Event Service Excellence You will play an important role in bringing events to life by ensuring every guest receives professional, attentive service. What You'll Be Doing Event Setup & Preparation Assist with the setup of banquet rooms according to banquet event orders (BEOs)Arrange tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffet stations, and décor according to event specificationsEnsure meeting rooms and event spaces are clean, organized, and guest-ready prior to each eventAssist with audiovisual and room setup requests as directed Food & Beverage Service Serve plated meals, buffets, hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and refreshments according to service standardsRefill beverages and monitor guest needs throughout the eventClear tables promptly and maintain a clean dining environmentAssist bartenders and banquet captains as needed to ensure seamless serviceMaintain knowledge of menu items and accommodate dietary restrictions and special requests Guest Experience Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service throughout each eventRespond promptly to guest requests with a solutions-oriented approachMaintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor at all timesHelp create memorable experiences for weddings, corporate meetings, galas, and social events Event Breakdown Clear tables, remove linens, and properly store banquet equipment following eventsReset banquet rooms according to upcoming event requirementsMaintain cleanliness of banquet storage areas and service stationsAssist with inventory and organization of banquet supplies and equipment Team Collaboration Work closely with Banquet Captains, Banquet Managers, Culinary, Stewarding, and Sales teamsCommunicate effectively regarding event timelines and guest requestsSupport fellow banquet team members to ensure successful event executionParticipate in pre-event meetings and post-event cleanup Safety & Compliance Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulationsAdhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and verify guest identification when requiredOperate banquet equipment safely and report maintenance concerns promptlyFollow company safety procedures and emergency protocols Requirements Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiencesExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong teamwork and collaboration skillsProfessional appearance and positive attitudeFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and variable event schedules Technical / Role-Specific Requirements Previous banquet, restaurant, hotel, or catering experience preferredKnowledge of banquet service styles, including plated, buffet, reception, and family-style service preferredExperience with banquet event orders (BEOs) is a plusFood Handler Card required or ability to obtain upon hireResponsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification required or ability to obtain as required by California lawAbility to safely carry serving trays and banquet equipment Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in hotels, resorts, conference centers, or event venues preferredWedding or large-scale event service experience is highly desirableWine, cocktail, and beverage knowledge is a plusBilingual abilities are a plus Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout eventsFrequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 poundsAbility to carry large serving trays safely and efficientlyComfortable working in a fast-paced environment while meeting event timelines Education High school diploma or equivalent preferredEquivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered Benefits At Millennium Hotels & Resorts, we support our employees with a competitive benefits package designed to promote wellbeing and long-term success: Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Company-paid Life and AD&D Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Coverage 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match (where applicable) Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Hotel Room Discounts across our global portfolio Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Benefits eligibility and offerings are subject to plan terms and company policy.
