Banquet Server | Full-time

About the role

Banquet Event servers are responsible for food and drink service at hotel banquet functions. They are charged with making the function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offerings for the event. This may include linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to event specifications and floor plans.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and décor as assigned.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner.
• Refill beverages and respond promptly to guest requests.
• Clear tables and remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils throughout the event.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
• Assist with buffet setup, maintenance, and breakdown.
• Communicate effectively with banquet captains, event managers, kitchen staff, and fellow servers.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company service standards.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Participate in event breakdown and storage of equipment and supplies.
• Support other food and beverage operations as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years previous banquet, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must have Texas Food Handler’s and TABC.
