Banquet Operations Manager
About the role
The Dalcy is a private event space in the historic Fulton Market District, offering a curated cocktail and wine program and chef-driven modern American cuisine. Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants is seeking a Banquet Operations Manager with 2 years of experience in this role.
Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of onsite catering and banquet events
- Present invoices to guests, accurately process payments, and balance sales/receipts
- Comprehend and execute specific banquet instructions and timeline, and expedite any contract changes as communicated from the catering sales team
- Ensure all event setups / breakdowns are performed in a timely manner
- Avoid delays in post-event reporting and ensure it is shared with the sales team in a timely manner
- Lead the opening shift process and perform food ordering, inventory, price updates, and recipe build maintenance
- Oversee and ensure effective back of house systems, including receiving and storage, including sidework and organization of those areas
- Organize, run, and supervise smooth and efficient daily opening and closing shifts, ensuring an exceptional guest and employee experience
- Provide guidance and leadership to hourly and management teams while fostering the Culture of Caring
- Respond immediately and effectively to guest and employee needs and feedback
- Assist the General Manager in managing costs, driving sales, and growing the business in support of financial goals
- Partner with the General Manager and management team to interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise, and develop all Back of House (BOH) employees and teams as needed
- Perform regular and ad hoc inventories of food, beverage, and restaurant supplies and track high-cost items; place food, beverage, and restaurant supply orders; and accept and inspect deliveries
- Model and promote teamwork across all teams
- Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests, vendors, and employees, and respond with patience and courtesy
- Work a variety of days and shifts (including early mornings, late nights, and weekends) at multiple sites with or without overnight travel, as needed
- Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
Requirements
A minimum of 5+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant, with 2+ years of experience in back of the house systems and food costing.
Skilled in leading and developing teams, experienced with inventory and BOH systems.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay
USD $60,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
Schedule
Work a variety of days and shifts (including early mornings, late nights, and weekends) at multiple sites with or without overnight travel, as needed.
