About the role
Banquet Manager at Montage Healdsburg is a leadership position responsible for the daily operation of the Banquet department. This includes recruiting, scheduling, staffing, training, and supervising all staff. The role also involves acting as a liaison between the hotel and clients, assisting with event planning and execution, maintaining high standards of service, and managing inventory.
Responsibilities
- Daily operation of the Banquet department, including recruiting, scheduling, staffing, train, and supervision of all staff
- Acting as a liaison for the hotel and serving as the point of contact for clients during their event
- Aid in the development and implementation of the training manual to ensure a high-quality presentation and level of customer service within the banquet team
- Maintain high standards of service excellence, food quality, and presentation, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, and amenities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality
- Manage the inventory, control, and breakage/loss, reduction of china, glass, and silver as it relates to function devices and banquet services
- Provide daily support and guidance to Banquet Associates as well as monitor job performance to ensure a successful meeting/banquet experience for the guest
- Aid in the coordination with housekeeping and engineering to ensure the highest level of product delivery
- Coordinate with all other departments to execute client events and meetings
- Ensure the department abides by all safety and sanitation policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside the scope of duties, based on business needs
Requirements
- A minimum of one year of previous banquet supervisory or management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures, and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Embrace Technology – continually learn, adapt and master to new operating systems
- Knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Luxury hotel experience, a plus

Pay
The pay scale for this position is $75,000-$80,000 annual salary.
Schedule
Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
