About the Role

The Waldorf Astoria New York is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to unveil a new era of luxury, embodying the spirit of New York City. This union position is part of the Local 6 Union, requiring complete open availability. Hours and schedule are based on seniority and business needs, with full-time hours not guaranteed. You must be comfortable with a schedule and hours that may vary from week to week.

Responsibilities

• Delight our guests by bringing an upbeat and friendly attitude to all interactions and proactively making their experience special.
• Prepare banquet spaces by completing table and chair setups according to the requirements for each function.
• Ensure a clean and inviting space by cleaning and prepping banquet rooms, including all walls and surfaces.
• Monitor the banquet area to keep it clean, promptly addressing spills, discarded service items, and other issues for an exceptional guest experience.
