About the role
We are looking for a Food and Beverage Houseperson. This position requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. You must have the ability to transition between banquet setup responsibilities and bartending based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms and meeting spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Break down meeting and banquet spaces, including arranging tables and chairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of meeting spaces, hallways, and storage areas.
- Refresh meeting rooms during breaks, including replenishing coffee and supplies.
- Assist with event transitions, including room resets between functions.
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, and spirits following hotel recipes.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar.
- Stock and replenish spirits, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and other bar supplies.
- Operate POS system throughout the shift.
- Replenish beer, wine, liquor, mixers, and ice as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven cooking experience.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with industry’s best practices.
- Previous banquet, bartending, and food service experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- TABC certification.
- ServSafe certification.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
