About the Role
Responsible for providing exemplary guest service by delivering beverages, cashiering, bartending, clearing tables, and maintaining the overall appearance of the convention center, casino, and all other F&B outlets as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Complete cross-training in all F&B outlets, both front and back of house, to ensure versatile assistance when and where needed during banquet slower business/function times.
- Provide exemplary guest service to all CWCR guests in all capacities.
- Perform setup, breakdown, and storage of banquet furniture, tables, chairs, equipment, supplies, audio-visual, props, staging, dance floor, pipe and drape, portable bars, or any other related items.
- Set tables with all needs for the function, including silverware, linen, skirting, china, glassware, and other requirements.
- Perform setup and breakdown for all events and functions, including cleaning tables and returning all items, supplies, and equipment to their appropriate storage locations.
- Serve food and beverage orders to customers and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables or throughout casino F&B outlets as required.
- Serve wine and bottled or draft beer.
- Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
- Check with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Operate cash registers to accept payment, including monetary, coupons, and comp slips.
- Assist with the breakdown of events, including cleaning tables and returning all items to their appropriate storage location.
- Transport all required items for setup and service from banquet storage areas to the function room.
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables and prepare them to be sent to the kitchen.
- Clean tables and surrounding chairs and floors after guests have finished dining and reset the table with utensils and condiments.
- Stock bus stations and other areas with items and utensils.
- Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiments, and napkin containers.
- Escort guests to their tables as needed.
- Maintain overall cleanliness and appearance of the designated area of responsibility.
- Perform all opening, closing, cleaning, and stocking responsibilities.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort guest service standards.
- Maintain general knowledge and provide information to guests about Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services.
- Provide input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Workers in this position must be 21 or older.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- One year of experience as a server preferred.
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.
- Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
- Must have OLCC temporary permit before the start date and obtain OLCC Permit within 45 days of the start date.
- Must have a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of start date.
- Must obtain VIP (Visually Intoxicated Person) Permit within 45 days of employment.
- Knowledge of regulations governing food preparation and service.
- Basic math skills.

Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The environment is subject to smoke and associated effects. Some work will take place on the gaming floor.
Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
