About the Role

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking an exceptional Banquet/Event Setup Attendant for the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Fargo, ND. This position involves continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving up to 25-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and responds to special requests.
• Responds to guest concerns, complaints, or suggestions appropriately; refers them to management to support superior guest service.
• Set up and tear down all function room space according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) details and company banquet standards.
• Keep banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and banquet kitchen areas neat, clean, and well organized.
• Display proper professional attitude, demeanor, and cooperation toward guests, peers, and management.
• Properly handle lost and found items in accordance with department policies and security procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
• Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or matters of significance.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in Banquets or Hospitality is preferred.
• Experience delivering exceptional customer service to both guests and team members.
• A genuine interest in hospitality; a desire to make others feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for.
• A collaborative spirit and enjoyment of teamwork.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and co-workers.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Basic math skills for adjusting recipes.
• Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards is an advantage.
