Duties
- assists with the planning and carries out details for banquets
- trains banquet staff
- arranges dining reservations
- responds to complaints regarding food or service
- monitors the work of the employees of an event they are captaining

Key Responsibilities
- Execute duties well so each event runs smoothly
- Managing your food and beverage team
- Briefing staff and checking the room set-up before the event
- Ensuring the room is turned around, ready for the next even
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Briefing staff and checking the room set-up before the event
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
- Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
- Addresses customer concerns and issues
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage your team
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A can-do attitude
- A cool head to deal with last minute requests and problems
- One to two years of progressive and relevant experience
- High school diploma or GED required
