Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and housemen, to ensure smooth and efficient operations during events.
- Cooking and serving food and beverages, as needed, and providing support to staff during peak periods or high-profile events.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces and equipment, including bar setups, service stations, and storage areas.
- Communicating event details and specific guest requests to the banquet team and ensuring they are executed accurately and promptly.
- Conducting pre-event briefings with staff to review event details, service expectations, and any special instructions or considerations.
- Monitoring event progress and anticipating guest needs, responding promptly to any requests or concerns to ensure exceptional service.
- Liaising with event planners, kitchen staff, and other resort departments to ensure proper coordination and execution of events.
- Handling any guest inquiries, complaints, or issues in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed guest expectations and resolve issues to their satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a banquet captain or in a similar supervisory role in the hospitality industry is required.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
