Brass Tacks
- Work assignments will vary between event bartending, serving, and set-up
- May occasionally be assigned to work in our restaurant or stand-alone bar
- Set tables with chinaware, glass, silver and linens
- Clears tables as necessary, sets up buffets as needed
- Serves food and beverage to guests and provides quality customer service
- Ensures safe work environment, reporting unsafe conditions and equipment
- Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards
- Enters orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team
- Caters to the timing of each course to correspond with the dining pace of the guests
- Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads and soups
- Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensures that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature
- Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items
- Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures
- Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized
- Follows all appropriate policies and procedures
- Advise guests, clients and team members on matters relating to food and beverage offerings
- Assists in all areas of service and production including hosting, bussing, cleaning and dishwashing
- As needed, support other F&B departments including Outlets, Banquets and Guest Breakfast
- Affirms that we exceed guest expectations by being responsive, engaged and following-through on all requests
- Performs other tasks and responsibilities as directed by management
Nitty Gritty
- Prior bartending and serving experience required, large scale event experience preferred
- The ability to read, write and speak English
- Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)
- The ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- The ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
- Willingness to work long hours, irregular shifts, and on weekends and holidays
- The ability to provide an excellent level of customer service, even in stressful situations
- Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)
- Standing and Walking: Remaining on your feet for extended periods, often up to 10 hours, to attend to guests and manage service areas
- Stair Navigation: Moving between different levels of the establishment, which may involve climbing and descending stairs
- Bending and Squatting: Reaching down to set or clear tables, retrieve items from lower shelves, or assist guests
- Lifting: Carrying trays, dishes, or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
- Desire to work in a fast-paced role
- Must be comfortable working across a large resort property involving a significant amount of walking and transporting supplies
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in challenging weather conditions
