Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greets and welcomes all guests in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Prepares and stocks supplies and items necessary for guest consumption.
  • Completes daily, weekly, monthly check list.
  • Pours all types of drinks for customers and cocktail servers upon request.
  • Stocks bar and maintains par levels.
  • Serves food to bar patrons.
  • Provides entertainment for guests through entertainment pouring.
  • Provides property information on current events, promotions and attractions to customers.
  • Processes all cash transactions by accepting money and making necessary change accurately and presenting customer with bar receipt.
  • Maintains attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to departmental and company policies.
  • Cleans bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators and other bar appliances.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by managers/supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Two years previous experience as a bartender is required.
  • A high school degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must have dexterity and capability to learn entertainment pouring.
  • Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must adhere to uniform requirements.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to work any day, any shift.
  • Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must be willing to participate in on-going training in the beverage field.
  • Must have knowledge of current property events, promotions and attractions.

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands

  • Must be able to work in a smoke filled and noisy environment and maneuver through assigned area during entire shift.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and manually push up to 650 pounds.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend and reach.
  • Must be able to use hand motion when preparing and pouring all types of drinks for customers and cocktail servers.
  • Must be able to use hand motion when cleaning and wiping bar counter.
  • Must be able to bend, pull and carry bar stock to refrigerators and cabinets.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to complete required paperwork for cash transactions.
  • Must be able to operate a variety of equipment.
  • Must be able to simultaneously handle the demands of many customers.
  • Must present a pleasant and professional appearance that customers will find appealing and easy to approach in order to initiate and engage in conversation.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to operate: cash register, micros, two to six wheel carts, juice, soda, and liquor guns, cutting boards, coffee and frozen drink machines, ice machine, shot glasses, mixes, pourers, blenders, beer kegs/soda/wine/juice hook-ups and knives.
