Banquet | Banquet Bartender

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing & serving cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages for guests in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Adhere to the Hotel Standards.
• Set up Bar according to BEO in absence of bar porter.
• Aid Bar Porter in setting up bar.
• Display appropriate product and glassware as instructed by captain.
• Display appropriate décor as instructed by captain.
• Verify product and quantities as appropriate for the function.
• Be familiar with BEO and group information.
• Ready for service 15 minutes prior to start time on BEO or as instructed by captain.
• Communicate with guests to obtain drink order.
• Prepare beverage as per guest request or department standard.
• Keep bar clean and organized free of dirty glassware, trash etc.
• Do not display cash in any form on or around bar, passively soliciting gratuities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all liquor laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
• Minimum 2 years related experience preferably in high volume banquet environment.
