Bankruptcy Litigation Attorney

Position Details We are looking for an experienced Litigation Attorney with a blended background in both bankruptcy and commercial litigation to join our Litigation department. The successful candidate must have exceptional background in bankruptcy and creditor rights and commerical/business litigation. Must have strong legal research, writing, and critical thinking ability; excellent verbal and written advocacy at motion hearings and trial; and the capacity to organize, prioritize and multi-task. Must have a minimum of five (5) years bankruptcy and commercial litigation experience, with the ability to focus on business development success, is preferred. Requirements Five years of experience dealing with complex business litigation with an emphasis in bankruptcy mattersExperience representing financial institutions regarding bankruptcy and creditor rights disputes, recovering funds and assets.Experience conducting discovery, including written and deposition discoveryExperience mediating and negotiating case settlementsPrepare pleadings, motions, briefs and other legal documentsMust have very strong legal writing and analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Strong critical thinking abilityHigh academic achievementStrong verbal and written advocacySelf-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Highly professional with a strong customer service orientation, commitment to meeting deadlines, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Strong professional, independent thinking skills with strength in problem solving and the ability to offer constructive opinions and creative solutions.A team player who motivates and educates other team members.Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the position.
