Bankruptcy Litigation Associate, U.S. offices
About the role
Kobre & Kim is seeking a bankruptcy litigation lawyer to join one of our U.S. offices. The ideal candidate will have substantial litigation skills, particularly in disputes involving distressed companies, and will work on high-stakes restructuring/bankruptcy and other debtor-creditor disputes, often with a cross-border element.
Responsibilities
- Work on multinational bankruptcy and restructuring matters representing debtors, creditors, committees, foreign insolvency representatives, and other stakeholders in insolvency-related disputes and investigations, often as special litigation counsel in Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 proceedings.
- Engage in cross-border work and use insolvency and restructuring tools to craft unique strategies for international asset recovery and judgment enforcement engagements.
- Participate in creditor-debtor disputes and creditor remedies both inside and outside of bankruptcy court.
Requirements
- Graduated law school between 2023 - 2020
- Juris Doctorate Degree
- Clerkships are always beneficial
- Strong litigation and bankruptcy/restructuring experience
- Robust writing, drafting and editing skills

Pay
The salary range for this role is US $260,000 – US $390,000. This range is based on a full-time work schedule. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
Schedule
The successful candidate’s actual salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, training, skills, and market data.
