About the role
This position is 100% in office. The employee will work full time in an office in a designated WesBanco location. Consideration for location will be Franklin Square Banking Center.
Responsibilities
- Personalizes the work environment to inspire, motivate, challenge, support, and recognize exceptional performance.
- Builds and maintains a positive work environment that fosters a culture of engagement.
- Leads relationship-building efforts and efficient operations of a full-service banking center.
- Trains and develops staff to provide excellent customer service.
- Directs sales and service initiatives of the location, interacts with customers, discusses banking needs, and conducts outside sales efforts.
- Works closely with business partners to service existing and prospective customers.
- Assists in the recruitment, selection, training, coaching, and development of the banking center staff.
- Oversees operational aspects of the banking center, including audits, reports, cash management, and security.
- Communicates job expectations and evaluates performance against those expectations on a consistent basis.
- Represents the bank by participating in community events and providing service to customers and prospective customers.
- Participates in planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Ensures adherence to bank policies and procedures and maintains confidentiality of employee and customer information.
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required. Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
- Supervisory or proven leadership experience required.
- Banking, cash handling, sales, and customer service experience or equivalent combination of at least two years of related experience.
- Strong consumer lending skills are strongly preferred with a solid understanding of small business lending preferred.
- Ability to conduct a preliminary review of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial and business-related information.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and proficient knowledge of Banking Software and Digital Services through various types of delivery channels.
- Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and produce manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Proven ability to generate new financial relationships through outbound calling, outside business development, and building a referral network.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and be flexible.
- Extensive product knowledge for the level of selling and cross-selling performance expected with position.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Available to work all hours of operations.
