About the role

This position involves providing banking services, supporting sales, and ensuring compliance to deliver a positive client experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily financial transactions such as deposits, currency handling, and check cashing.
• Open and process new deposit accounts, including savings, IRAs, certificates of deposit, and money market accounts.
• Identify client needs through consultative conversations, recommend appropriate products, and cross-sell bank services.
• Assist clients with loan applications and facilitate the processing of these applications.
• Conduct outbound calls to clients and prospects, participate in special deposit/loan campaigns.
• Research and resolve account issues promptly, ensuring excellent client service.
• Support banking center operations, including audit controls and on-the-job training for new associates.
• Identify referral opportunities to bank partners to generate new business and deepen existing relationships.
• Stay informed of operational updates and compliance requirements, adhering to bank policies and regulations.
• Enhance personal knowledge through training and web-based learning.
• Maintain high client experience standards, promptly resolving issues and delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; 1+ year experience as a Teller preferred.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment (calculator, coin counter). Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with the necessary knowledge and skills.

Requirements

Compliance with background, credit checks, and regulatory requirements, including S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act. Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory duties are required. Additional Requirements: Ability to meet background and licensing standards; ongoing compliance is mandatory.
