About the role
The Bander/Wrapper reports directly to the Production Supervisor for machine operation. This position operates within the Production Department.
Responsibilities
- Prepare finished product for storage and/or shipping by performing work in a safe manner at all times, maintaining a clean work environment, ensuring all product packaging meets all food safety and quality standards, and accurately reporting packaging material consumption.
- Work closely with shipping to ensure established inventory management practices are followed.
- Meet established production rates.
- Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks on the machine, notify the production supervisor of machine issues, and provide assistance to the Endclosure operation.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED (or equivalent experience)
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Prior experience in the corrugated manufacturing industry or food manufacturing industry
- Stable work history and good attendance record

- Organized and pays attention to detail
- Safe powered industrial truck operations, demonstrates PIT/PED safety
Skills
- Desire knowledge of food industry standards for production, safety, waste, and AIB/SQF housekeeping
- Solid technical aptitude skills
- Solid basic math skills
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Interface with computer and have the ability to enter data into various software platforms
- Demonstrated work performance to be self-directed and self-motivated
- Proven track record on safety and quality
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
