About The Position

The District is seeking continuing contract positions at Lynnwood High School starting with the 2026-27 school year. Positions include:

• Band and Orchestra (1.0 FTE): Concert/Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert/Symphonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble 1.
• Jazz and Guitar (0.3 FTE): Jazz Ensemble 2 (0.2 FTE) and Guitar (0.1 FTE).

Required Qualifications

A Washington State Teaching Certificate with endorsements in Instrumental Music, or the ability to obtain the needed qualifications prior to the position start date. Salary and Benefits

Salary: 2025-26 Salary Schedule Range: $83,305 through $148,226 (2026-27 Salary Schedule not yet finalized). Placement on this schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying educational level and certificated work experience.

Benefits: Includes Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB), a Washington state retirement package, medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life, and AD+D insurance, options for HSA, FSA, and DCAP, and a variety of supplemental benefits.

Physical Requirements/Demands

The physical demands of this job include navigating various school and classroom environments, assisting students who need physical support or exhibit challenging behaviors, and communicating with others regularly. Tasks may involve frequent manual work using hands or fingers, occasional reaching, bending, or twisting, moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds, and adjusting focus as necessary.
