Band 3 Extrusion Operator 1

Primary Responsibilities

• Follow directions from management regarding length, color and diameter choices to be ran
• Meet required machine and item efficiencies
• Perform continuous quality checks
• Maintain the department’s 5S program
• Perform PM’s on extrusion lines
• Takes initiative and performs tasks without being told
• Able to accurately fill out all required paperwork on a daily basis
• Follow all required safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Safety Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate robots and the cutting machine
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to read and use measuring tools
• Self-motivation

Working Conditions

• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
• Requires the use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, and hardhats.
• Jewelry is not permitted.

• Must pass: Pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Background check.

Schedule

• Shifts available dependent on current openings based on production needs:
• Day shift M-Th 6:00am-6:00pm; F 6:00am-3:30pm (additional hours and days based on production need)
• Night shift Su-Th 6:00pm-6:00am with 15% premium
