Bakery Manager

As the Bakery Manager, you will lead team members, manage department inventory, ensure pricing integrity, and oversee operational processes requiring strong attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment that values efficiency, effectiveness, and a passion for excellence.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service
• Make recommendations and accommodate requests
• Manage order guides, ordering deadlines, reduce shrink and damage
• Properly receive and stock goods following rotation standards when replenishing product levels
• Handle, slice, and prepare a variety of specialty breads, pastry items, and Convenient Meal Solutions throughout the day
• Direct teams to handle, receive/stock, and merchandise goods according to TFM standards
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on‑the‑job and via The Fresh Market’s internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, baking, and/or culinary
• Ability to read, understand, and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics for department merchandising
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be at least 18 years old

Schedule

This position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
