Bakery Assistant Team Leader

About the role

Provide leadership in the Bakery Department by managing Team Members, overseeing inventory, and implementing merchandising initiatives to drive business growth, meet customer needs, and maximize profits.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Bakery Manager functions in their absence.
• Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and company policies.
• Deliver products and services that exceed customer expectations, maintain presentation standards, and promote safety and loss prevention.
• Develop communication with other departments to create marketing plans aligned with financial goals.
• Train and evaluate team members to reduce turnover, improve efficiency, and control labor costs.
• Maintain inventory records, track gross profit, and manage raw materials and supplies to meet demand and profitability targets.
• Work collaboratively within the store environment, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to completing tasks.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• No high school diploma required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
