Responsibilities

  • Follows recipes and/or product directions to prepare items from scratch such as breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits, etc.
  • Places products into correctly prepared pans.
  • Regulates the drafts and temperatures of the ovens.
  • Plants items in ovens.
  • Removes baked items from ovens and applies appropriate toppings.
  • Maintains a passive leadership role in maintaining adequate production level form the Kitchen staff.
  • Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
  • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
  • Complies with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures.
  • Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to get it.
  • Willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
  • Requires strong organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Desire to exceed expectations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
  • A strong desire to learn, to develop skills and work with the culinary leadership team to create menus which reflect seasonal availability and concept of the restaurant.

Pay

$23.00 - $24.00 per hour.
