About the role

At Bruegger’s Bagels, our Baker is the heart of our bakery, ensuring our signature New York-style bagels are baked to perfection. Bakers arrive early (as early as 3AM) to prepare our bagels, stock the bagel wall and pastry case, and support the team in providing excellent guest service. This role involves multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, maintaining food quality, and keeping the store clean and safe.

Responsibilities

• Bake and prepare high-quality bagels and other bakery products.
• Stock the bagel wall and pastry case to ensure product availability each shift.
• Assist with order taking, sandwich making, and other guest service tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Work varied hours, including early mornings (as early as 3AM) and weekends, based on business needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varied hours/days, including early mornings and weekends.
• Must pass a background check as required by local, state, and federal law.
• Possession of a current, valid, state-issued driver’s license (preferred but only required at specific locations).
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours (reasonable accommodations may be made).

Pay

Hourly rate: $14.57 - $21.86 per hour. Starting pay is subject to local and state minimum wage regulations. Ranges reflect the employer’s reasonable and good-faith expectations for the position.

Schedule

• Stores close at 2PM—no evening or night shifts.
• Early morning hours (as early as 3AM) and weekend availability required.
