Backend C2 Systems Full Stack Developer

About the role

This role is for a seasoned full stack developer who can build software and systems from vision to production-ready. You will lead a team and help clients solve complex challenges using the latest technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend and services systems
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases
• Develop and manage frontend applications
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure solutions consider current architecture and future enhancements
• Collaborate with clients to understand mission and reliability requirements

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development
• Experience with server-side languages like Java, .NET, C#, Python, or Go
• Experience with message or streaming platforms like Kafka
• Experience with containerization
• Experience with frontend technologies like React
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployment
• Ability to translate mission and reliability requirements into scalable, resilient service designs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technology field, or 6+ years of experience in mission systems in lieu of a degree

Skills

• Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed system patterns
• Experience with cloud-native development on AWS or Kubernetes
• Experience implementing a secure SDLC
• Experience with C2, ISR, or other mission-critical DoD systems
• Experience with API gateways, service mesh, and inter-service security
• Experience with observability for distributed services

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $112,900.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD).

Employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. The work model includes options for remote, hybrid, and onsite work.
