About the role
Assist in daily Front of House operations to deliver a 5-Star, 5-Diamond, 3-Michelin Star experience to all guests. Maintain all aspects of the service areas and dining room. Serve as a support to the Front Server.
Responsibilities
- Able to enter orders correctly and efficiently
- Able to maintain orderly side stands
- Will routinely refill water pitchers
- Replenish the drawer with proper silverware
- Consistently clear the section as needed
- Communicates to the kitchen with the needs of the section
- Spearheads resetting within the section
- Able to deliver of coffee/tea orders, cookie boxes, and menus for the section
- Able to provide house guests with a check-in tour and accurately discuss the rooms and history
- Can function as the Closing Team Leader (CTL)
- Capable of assisting the front desk with a variety of needs (SOF's, assisting valet, welcome cocktail, etc.)
- Demonstrates excellent understanding of The Forbes Travel Guide's standards
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must be well-groomed and well-presented with no visible tattoos
- Must have reliable transportation
Desirable
- Familiarity with Forbes Standards
- Ability to communicate in a language other than English, preferably Spanish or French
- Certification in alcohol awareness program
- Certification in CPR
- Prior experience with Resortsuite and Tock
- Basic wine knowledge
Skills
- Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
- Must always be organized and maintain cleanliness of workstation
- Ability to speak using clear and professional language
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to cross-train across multiple departments and assist when needed
- Ability to assist guests with questions about the property, history, and surrounding areas
Physical demands
- Must be able to lift 30+ lbs.
- Able to stand, bend and walk for long periods of time
- Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting and climbing
