About the role
CDM Smith is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team of industry-leading engineers on a diverse portfolio of public, federal, and industrial projects. Our Electrical services include:
- Electrical System Master Planning & Studies
- Power System Design, Protection & Generation
- Power System Analysis
- Facility System Design
- Sustainability/Renewable Energy
Responsibilities
- Develop drawings for electrical systems (power, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security) using CADD.
- Perform electrical calculations using systems analyses software (lighting, load, voltage drop, etc.).
- Assist in the development of electrical distribution design plans and single line diagrams.
- Review shop drawings and assist with general construction services.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline with an interest in power systems and/or electrical distribution.
Travel required: 10% or less.
Pay
Pay range: USD $25.84 – $44.22 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, role, function, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
