Aid in the detailed design of electrical system schematics, wiring harnesses, custom circuit hardware, and control modules for our innovative generator system.
Support production change management by identifying and implementing engineering improvements to ongoing production builds.
Work in the R&D lab and Hyliion generator test site, providing hands-on support for system prototypes and production hardware.
Design and build one-off electrical test boxes for generation integration efforts.
Integrate next-gen engineering builds and manage the documentation package for installation and testing of these builds.
Conduct analysis, design, simulation, and testing of electronic circuits for our next-generation electrical systems for the KARNO generator.
Collaborate on mechanical packaging and system design to meet electrical and thermal requirements.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
No prior work experience is required but must demonstrate strong understanding of relevant electrical engineering concepts through school projects and/or home projects.
Understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles.
Experience with electrification systems (batteries, motors, inverters, PDUs, embedded controllers) is a plus.
Knowledge of packaging electronic components and interpreting electrical manufacturing documentation.
Experience with troubleshooting electronic systems.
Skills in schematic and/or PCB design tools like AutoCAD and/or Altium Designer.
Interest in high-voltage electrical systems.
Familiarity with electrical system modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB-Simulink, PSPICE, or LTSPICE.
Experience with 3D modeling tools.
Positive attitude and approach to problem-solving.
Strong collaboration and adaptability skills.
Proven ability to communicate effectively and solve complex problems.
