About the role

The Customer Service Representative will provide sales support to Customers, Inside Sales Engineers, and Field Sales Engineers. Key responsibilities include processing customer requests for quote, reviewing and entering purchase orders, managing RMA requests, facilitating order expedites, and addressing customer inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Secure purchase orders and manage customers' expectations
• Cook up customer requirements with sales, manufacturing, marketing & engineering
• Conduct thorough reviews of customer purchase orders for accuracy
• Administer order expedite requests
• Provide notification of late shipments to customers
• Facilitate communication between Credit Department and customers on payment delays
• Initiate Return Material Authorizations
• Address customer inquiries promptly
• Initiate review of pricing when appropriate to ensure profitability
• Continually seek and share strategies for enhanced sales and service
• Notify sales management immediately of any business at risk situations
• Support reception desk and Customer Service as necessary

Requirements

• Ace an associate's degree in a related field or gain 2-3 years of direct sales or customer service experience
• Show strong technical curiosity and problem-solving abilities to learn, support, and configure engineered solutions for customer applications
• Be proficient in using Windows-based PCs and MS Office programs
• Multi-task and have a strong sense of urgency
• Communicate clearly and effectively in a professional business environment
• Work well within a team or independently and demonstrate initiative and drive for results
• Be approachable, friendly, and have a strong customer service orientation
• Enjoy a hardworking, fast-paced environment
