AWS ECDS Systems Administrator
About the role
Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an AWS ECDS Systems Administrator on a contract providing Network and Cybersecurity services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support transport and cybersecurity information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, inclusive of new facilities and building constructions to support the IC mission.
Responsibilities
- Manages AWS resources
- Provisions, configures, and manages AWS resources such as EC2 instances, EBS volumes, VPCs, security groups, and IAM roles.
- Maintains system security
- Implements and enforces security best practices, including access control, data encryption, and vulnerability management.
- Automates tasks
- Automates routine administrative tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and AWS tools (e.g., AWS CLI, CloudFormation).
- Trains and supports other team members
- Collaborates with teams
- Works closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Requirements
- Clearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical field (i.e. Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science)
- Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Certifications: DoD 8140.01 / DoD 8570.01-M.IAT Level II Certification. CSSP Infrastructure Support certification. Any Linux related certifications.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of AWS services and architecture
- Experience with AWS CLI and CloudFormation
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting AWS systems
- Experience with implementing and maintaining backups
- Experience with security best practices and compliance
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
