Pay

• Entry rate starting at $19.00 per hour
• $500.00 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time Direct Care position paid out at 6 months
• $1,000 Bonus after successful completion of Essential Skills Training within the first 90 days

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight safety and around-the-clock supervision for residential youth
• Promote a professional and supportive atmosphere
• Monitor and document youth behaviors and actions
• Participate in and assist with educational and recreational activities
• Collaborate with other departments to establish and meet the goals of each youth’s treatment plan

Requirements

• Demonstrate empathy, patience, respect, and a genuine desire to work with troubled teens
• Be at least 21 years old
• Pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test
• Possess a current State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years
• Have relevant life experience in child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice, either as a mentor or caregiver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or
• Valid Child Development Teaching Permit, or
• 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Psychology, or
• Certification as an Alcohol or Drug Counselor, or
• One year of full-time experience in a group home, therapeutic program, or substance abuse treatment program

Schedule

• A Shift: Sunday - Wednesday, 10:00 pm - 8:00 am
• B Shift: Wednesday - Saturday, 10:00 pm - 8:00 am
