Awake Night Staff - Part Time

About the role

The Awake Night Staff is responsible for supervision of the clients and the facility during late evening and overnight hours, including weekends, holidays, and other assigned shifts. This position reports directly to the Housing Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bed checks throughout the evening, documenting that clients are in the facility.
• Provide wake-up calls for clients with approved appointments.
• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping functions, filing, copying, organizing daily paperwork, and some data entry as directed.
• Complete supply inventories.
• Respond to client problems that occur during the night (e.g., suicide watch).
• Ensure a smooth transition of nightly activities and incidents to the morning staff.
• Begin basic set-up for clients’ breakfast.
• May be assigned additional duties.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least one year of social service experience preferred.
• Veteran status desirable but not required.

Skills

• Ability to stay awake during late evening and overnight hours.
• Reliable, organized, thorough, and able to follow written and oral directions.
• Good crisis intervention skills.
• Satisfactory English writing and communication skills.

Pay

$17.00–$20.00 per hour to start, depending on experience and regional placement. Eligible for annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) based upon funding availability.
