About the role

This position is available to work on-site in Las Vegas, NV.

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft.
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
• Work with customer in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
• Work independently on projects.
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
• Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases.

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
• 1+ years of experience on Avionics repair or installations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under specific deadlines and time constraints.
• Dealing with customers and the capacity to perform work with minimal supervision.
• Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
• Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
• Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
• Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
• Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Skills

• Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate and perform functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.
• Work with others in a professional manner.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $36.00 - $54.00. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.

Schedule

Varied positions in and around the aircraft. Equipment Used Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic. Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment. Jacks, stands, lifts and other support devices. Tugs, power carts and other engine powered equipment. Crimpers, soldering iron and heat guns. Personal computer and work order prints.
