Avionics Technician - 1051

About the role

This position involves troubleshooting and repairing avionics units and aircraft systems. Essential functions include performing general avionics support tasks, inspecting and evaluating aircraft and components, and maintaining shop facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft
• Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components
• Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling
• Work with customers in project management, pricing and customer support roles
• Work independently on projects
• Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent
• Electronics or Avionics factory training preferred
• A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport ideal but not mandatory
• 1+ years of experience on Avionics repair or installations preferred

• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of performing work with minimal supervision
• Effective communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines
• Troubleshoot, evaluate and perform functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems
• Professional work habits
• Reliable transportation to work
• Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties
