About the role

This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-growing maintenance repair organization. The role involves performing basic sheet metal operations, assisting in supervising crews, and maintaining shop facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and associated components.
  • Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finish materials.
  • Maintain, clean, and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling when required.
  • Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases using basic computer skills.
  • Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
  • Assist in organizing manpower and setting priorities for involved projects.
  • Work under specific deadlines and time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
  • Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
  • Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • An Airframe and Powerplant License is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience working with sheet metal is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
  • Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
  • Reliable transportation to get to work each day.
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to work each day.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
  • Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
  • Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Qualifications

  • Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures.
  • Ability to read blueprints, work from drawings, fastening systems, procedures, and techniques.
  • Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Effective communication skills (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
  • Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs, routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, climbing ladders and stairs, standing for long periods, and varied positions in and around the aircraft.
