Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, disassembly, and repair of flight controls, structures, stabilizers, nacelles, exhaust, and other aircraft parts.
- Repair, modify, replace, or overhaul aircraft parts to ensure airworthiness.
- Perform work within estimated or budgeted hours.
- Know the proper use of heat control units.
- Know various types of aircraft sealant and appropriate method application for sealant, as well as aircraft fasteners and basic methods of installation and suitable substitutions.
- Fabricate parts as required and have knowledge of metal and alloys and where substitutes may be used.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma required, technical or trade school certifications preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in aviation component repairs.
- Basic computer skills required such as Microsoft Suite.
- Must be able to read, write and understand English.
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
