About the role
This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-growing maintenance repair organization. The role involves performing various sheet metal operations, supervising teams, and adhering to FAA guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and associated components.
- Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finish materials.
- Maintain, clean, and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling when required.
- Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases using basic computer skills.
- Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
- Assist in organizing manpower and setting priorities for involved projects.
- Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and may supervise other technicians.
- Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
- Prior experience working with sheet metal is preferred.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
- Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
- Reliable transportation to get to work each day.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work each day.
- Work in accordance with company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Qualifications
- Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures.
- Ability to read blueprints, working from drawings, fastening systems, procedures, and techniques.
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Effective communication skills (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
- Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs, routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, climbing ladders and stairs, standing for long periods, and varied positions in and around the aircraft.
