Aviation Sales Underwriter

Avemco Insurance Company is the only direct writer of aircraft insurance, connecting pilots directly with an Aviation Insurance Underwriter who can solve problems and approve coverage instantly. Responsibilities

• Qualify prospective clients and explain features of policies offered, determining amount and type of coverage based on analysis of prospect's circumstances.
• Ensure all sales leads are contacted and production goals are met.
• Provide high-quality service by responding courteously and accurately to all phone and email inquiries about our products.
• Initiate up-selling on all sales calls.
• Collect premiums from policyholders.
• Develop long-term relationships with clients.
• Employ underwriting rules, insurance laws, regulations, and manuals to ensure compliance.
• Comply with all corporate policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Property & Casualty, Life & Health licenses.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant and progressive professional experience.
• Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in the field.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, claims reports, and procedural manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
• Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Awareness of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments to proactively respond to the business environment.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).
