Aviation Safety Inspector (GA-FO) (General Aviation Principal Oversight Inspector)

Required Documents

• Copy of valid, unexpired Flight Instructor Certificate with single and multi-engine airplane and instrument airplane ratings
• Airline Transport Pilot Certificate or Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument airplane rating
• If you are an FAA employee: copy of your SF-50 (Notification of Personnel Action) containing information in Blocks 15, 17, 18, 19, 22, and 24 to verify position title, series, grade, tenure, and organization of record by the closing date of the announcement. May fax or upload into the on-line application (include vacancy announcement number on faxed copy). FAA employees can access and print SF-50 from eOPF system: https://eopf.opm.gov/dot/
• If relying on education to meet qualification requirements: provide attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education

• Each work history must include: Job Title (include series and grade if Federal job), relevant work experience aligned to the job announcement addressing all required qualifications, employer name, start/end dates, number of hours worked per week
• If education, certification, or licensure is required: include school/institution name, completion date, degree type, and GPA
