About the role

The Principal Operations Inspector (POI) applies knowledge of Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) to develop and implement standards, programs, and procedures for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) field personnel and the public regarding general aviation operations safety issues. The incumbent serves as the primary interface between assigned air carriers, air operators, air agencies, airmen, designees, and the FAA.
