About the role

CTL Aerospace is a full-service NADCAP certified composite-manufacturing company with over 75 years of experience serving major aerospace and governmental organizations. We are currently seeking talented professionals to join our team as an Aviation Repair QC Inspector at our northern Cincinnati, Ohio location.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate equipment for non-destructive testing (NDT).
  • Conduct tests and interpret, evaluate, and document results.
  • Perform visual inspections of metal/composite civil aviation articles as per current technical data, including preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Evaluate hardware at designated steps throughout the repair process.
  • Release hardware to outside processes.
  • Inspect hardware from outside processes.

Requirements

  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • ASNT Trained NDT FPI & UT Technician certification or willingness to obtain certification to our Customer Specific Certified Examiner requirements.
  • A minimum of 400 hours practical hands-on experience in NDT.
  • At least 40 hours of documented classroom training in NDT in FPI & UT.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations, human factors, manufacturing plan interpretation, measurement tools, and visual inspection techniques.
  • Ability to organize and document NDT results according to codes, standards, and contractual documents.
  • Drug-free workplace policy.
  • FAA Regulations and FOD Training.

Qualifications

  • Flexible to perform other visual inspections as needed.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and contractual documents.
  • Experience with NDT methods such as FPI & UT.
  • Compliance with DOT/FAA pre-employment drug test for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, PCP, and amphetamines.

Skills

  • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) skills.
  • Visual inspection techniques.
  • Interpretation and documentation of NDT results.
  • Compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards.
