About the role
As a Quality Inspector at Arcosa, you’ll be part of a dedicated team committed to producing the best utility structures in the world. This 1st shift position at our Tulsa plant involves performing UT, MT, VT, and dimensional inspections to ensure materials and products conform to standards and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- Perform UT, VT, and MT inspections on utility structures throughout the manufacturing process.
- Provide visual and measured inspections/tests of materials/products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if products meet all requirements.
- Complete inspection records, report findings, and follow appropriate codes and regulations.
- Inspect materials or plates, outgoing materials, fittings, and welds throughout the manufacturing process.
- Perform nondestructive examination to verify specified dimensions, strengths, and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Complete inspection records and reports accurately and insert data accordingly.
- Participate in safety committees and/or other initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection.
- UT Shear Wave experience (preferably on T-Joints and on welds with backing bars or other types of structural welds).
- Experience with AWS D.1.1 standards.
- The ability to independently apply and use quality science.
- CWI certification preferred, but not required.
- The ability to effectively communicate with customers.
- Familiarity with appropriate codes and regulations.
- The ability to maintain reliable and predictable good attendance.
- A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team toward achieving a common goal.
