About the role
Meyer Utility Structures is hiring a Quality Control Inspector for their new plant in Clinton, IL.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections to the requirements of AWS D1.1
- Perform magnetic particle inspection using dry powder yoke method
- Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products
- Avoid errors by ensuring all documentation is accurately and neatly completed
- Comply with all safety regulations
- Participate in the training process of Level I Inspectors
- Be able to stand for long periods of time while performing work functions
Requirements
- Experience in the use of inspection tools and precision measuring equipment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints
- Quality Control experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience
- UT Level II preferred
- VT Level II preferred
- MT Level II preferred
- CWI and UT a plus
- Welding background
- Be able to stand for long periods of time while performing work functions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of experience in Quality Control
- UT Level II certification preferred
- VT Level II certification preferred
- MT Level II certification preferred
- CWI certification preferred
- Welding background
Skills

Pay
The salary range for this position, based on required certifications, is $46,640 to $55,650 per year.
Schedule
Hours are flexible but require standing for long periods of time.
