FAA covered safety-sensitive position. Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and efficient maintenance, including repair, engine run, taxi, and troubleshooting of aircraft at various maintenance locations to minimize delays, cancellations, and out-of-service impacts.
- Execute planned and unplanned maintenance tasks in accordance with the appropriate manuals.
- Communicate exceptions as they occur and create accurate, complete write-ups with all inputs in a timely manner.
- Accept the daily work release plan when no manager or lead is onsite.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current A&P Licenses.
- Valid non-restricted driver’s license from the state of residence.
- Thirty-six (36) months of aircraft maintenance experience on turbine-powered aircraft exceeding 12,500 lbs. MEW (excludes A&P school and training).
Skills
- Ability to determine aircraft system failures, troubleshoot, and repair.
- Proficiency in using test equipment.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to all aircraft manuals.
- Capability to attain engine run, taxi, and aircraft tow operator certifications as directed.
- Ability to complete all aircraft parts replacement procedures.
- Maintain and service aircraft systems in both line and hangar environments.
- Sufficient computer skills to access and complete electronic AML procedures and computer-based training modules.
- Ability to meet all training requirements in a timely manner.
- Awareness of hazardous situations and ability to handle emergencies.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment under specific deadlines to meet flight schedule demands.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work under stressful situations.
- Ability to remain alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment effectively.
- Effective communication of information and instructions in writing, verbally, or via radio equipment.
- Provide friendly service and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
- Work cooperatively to ensure company success.
- Ability to perform job functions in cramped and confined spaces, at heights, in hazardous areas, and in various weather conditions.
- Capability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
- Support, adhere to, and perform company and regulatory security-related directives.
- Ability to obtain required airport certifications and approval for airport access.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and maneuver heavy aircraft-related components, parts, and equipment regularly.
- Willingness and ability to work with and mentor new and inexperienced team members.
