Aviation Maintenance Technician - Inflatable Rafts and Slides

About the role

SafeTech USA, a business unit of SK AeroSafety Group USA, is seeking Aviation Maintenance Technicians for our Inflatables Raft and Slide shops in our Atlanta-based aviation safety MRO stations. This position requires an Aviation Maintenance Technician who is detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Test and pack inflatable units
  • Assist in other safety equipment repair shops throughout the facility as needed
  • Build products that meet specifications and exceed customer expectations
  • Be self-motivated
  • Have good eyesight and color vision, manual dexterity, and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks quickly
  • Be able to lift 75-100 lbs
  • Have a high school diploma or a general education degree (GED)
  • Have FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (beneficial but not required)
  • Read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, and manuals
  • Perform math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Rig a unit (attach various parts such as aspirator, cylinder, lines/cords, anchor, locator lights, and battery, etc.)
  • Tie various knots in specific manners
  • Understand how to deflate a unit to prepare it for folding
  • During folding process, be able to push, pull, tug (using hands and feet), bend, kneel, stoop, etc.
  • Use computer knowledge to make computer entries
  • Complete various types of maintenance documents such as Service Difficulty Reports, Test Results, In-Process Inspections, and FAA form 8130 and EASA Form 1 in accordance with FAA & EASA Regulations and company policies
  • Pass a drug and background screening

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (beneficial but not required)
  • Knowledge of safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, and manuals
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to lift 75-100 lbs
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform complex, repetitive tasks quickly
  • Good eyesight and color vision
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to rig and deflate units
  • Ability to tie various knots
  • Ability to fold units
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to complete maintenance documents
  • Ability to pass a drug and background screening

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
