Aviation Maintenance Technician - Inflatable Rafts and Slides
About the role
SafeTech USA, a business unit of SK AeroSafety Group USA, is seeking Aviation Maintenance Technicians for our Inflatables Raft and Slide shops in our Atlanta-based aviation safety MRO stations. This position requires an Aviation Maintenance Technician who is detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Test and pack inflatable units
- Assist in other safety equipment repair shops throughout the facility as needed
- Build products that meet specifications and exceed customer expectations
- Be self-motivated
- Have good eyesight and color vision, manual dexterity, and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks quickly
- Be able to lift 75-100 lbs
- Have a high school diploma or a general education degree (GED)
- Have FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (beneficial but not required)
- Read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, and manuals
- Perform math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Rig a unit (attach various parts such as aspirator, cylinder, lines/cords, anchor, locator lights, and battery, etc.)
- Tie various knots in specific manners
- Understand how to deflate a unit to prepare it for folding
- During folding process, be able to push, pull, tug (using hands and feet), bend, kneel, stoop, etc.
- Use computer knowledge to make computer entries
- Complete various types of maintenance documents such as Service Difficulty Reports, Test Results, In-Process Inspections, and FAA form 8130 and EASA Form 1 in accordance with FAA & EASA Regulations and company policies
- Pass a drug and background screening
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (beneficial but not required)
- Knowledge of safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, and manuals
- Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to lift 75-100 lbs
- Manual dexterity and ability to perform complex, repetitive tasks quickly
- Good eyesight and color vision
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Ability to rig and deflate units
- Ability to tie various knots
- Ability to fold units

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
