Aviation Customer Service Specialist
About the role
As an Aviation Customer Service Specialist, you will be at the center of World Fuel’s global customer operations, supporting aviation clients around the world in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is a highly customer-facing role where you will manage incoming requests via phone and email, resolve real-time issues, and ensure a seamless experience for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Handle high volumes of inbound phone calls and emails from global aviation customers
- Provide real-time support, resolving urgent customer requests with accuracy and professionalism
- Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and delivering consistent service
- Maintain fuel availability and communicate updates or disruptions to customers
- Collaborate with Sales, Credit, Collections, Supply, and Billing teams to ensure seamless execution
- Support customer accounts and identify opportunities to enhance service and performance
- Audit and maintain customer records
- Adapt communication style to support a diverse, global customer base
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in high-volume customer service, call center, hospitality, airline, or similar fast-paced service environments
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Comfortable being on the phone for a significant portion of the day while managing multiple customer interactions
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build rapport quickly
- High attention to detail and sound judgment
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
- Proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Confidence communicating with global customers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid passport
Preferred Experience
- Experience in aviation or exposure to global travel or logistics environments
- Familiarity with aircraft types or aviation operations
- Experience with Oracle or similar systems
- Fluency in additional languages
- Strong understanding of world geography

Pay
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The schedule for this role is typically Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend work as needed.
