This is a great opportunity for someone with commercial AV installation, service, or support experience who wants to move into a stable onsite position and take ownership of the technology they support. You'll troubleshoot AV issues, perform preventative maintenance, assist with installations and upgrades, and support technology across classrooms, auditoriums, labs, and collaboration spaces.
Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot and support Extron products and control systems
- Diagnose issues involving projectors, displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, audio/video equipment, control systems, and computers

- Work alongside AV engineers, IT teams, construction groups, and outside AV integrators
- Provide direct technical assistance to faculty, students, and staff
- Train end users on classroom and AV technology
- Occasionally travel to additional university locations for AV support and installations
Requirements

- Strong AV troubleshooting skills
- Experience supporting integrated AV systems including projectors, displays, cameras, microphones, audio systems, video equipment, computers, and control systems
- Understanding of AV signal flow and integrated presentation systems
- Experience supporting classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, corporate AV environments, or similar technology-enabled spaces
- Ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot AV problems
- Experience with AV installations, equipment upgrades, or system commissioning is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with technical and nontechnical end users
- Ability to use hand and power tools and perform hands-on equipment work
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Why This Opportunity?
This is an excellent opportunity for an AV technician who wants to move away from constantly traveling between customer sites and into a stable, long-term onsite environment. You'll stay hands-on with AV technology while expanding your experience with Extron systems, troubleshooting, installations, upgrades, classroom technology, renovations, and larger AV projects.
